Three-day specialized seminars and training sessions in the field of livestock farming have officially started in the city of Navoi for farmers and entrepreneurs from all districts of the region. Launched on June 1 this year, these sessions represent the continuation of a systematic effort aimed at introducing international standards to the industry and enhancing the professional qualifications of local producers.
It is worth noting that similar training courses have already been successfully conducted in the regions of Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Namangan, Fergana, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya. The initiative is now being implemented in the Navoi region within the framework of the “Financing Sustainable Livestock Development” program, carried out with the participation of the Livestock and Pasture Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (AFD).
This large-scale program, implemented in cooperation with AFD, aims not only to attract preferential financial instruments to the livestock sector but also to ensure its sustainable development by providing industry representatives with modern theoretical and practical knowledge.
Throughout the three-day training program, industry experts, experienced professors, and researchers will provide participants with comprehensive information on the most important aspects of livestock farming. In particular, discussions focus on scientifically based feeding practices for dairy and beef cattle, compliance with veterinary hygiene requirements, prevention of infectious diseases, and the application of modern technologies in milking operations.
In addition, special attention is being paid to methods of maintaining animal productivity and ensuring proper livestock management under the specific climatic conditions of Navoi Region, where high temperatures pose unique challenges.
The training program is designed not only to provide theoretical knowledge but also to closely integrate learning with practical experience. As part of the final stage of the seminar, participants will visit one of the region’s leading livestock farms. During the visit, farmers will observe modern technologies and equipment in operation, exchange experiences with industry professionals, and reinforce the knowledge gained during the training through practical application.
