It was previously reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals aimed at advancing the livestock and poultry sectors, increasing the production of meat and dairy products, and integrating modern technologies into the industry.
Among the key initiatives presented was the plan to establish an Association of Livestock Breeders. This new organization is designed to protect the interests of livestock farmers, foster cooperation, improve breeding practices, and support scientific research and innovation. Furthermore, the Association will work to expand access to financial services and assist in promoting local products in international markets.
In addition, a unified digital platform, “Smart Fermer”, will be launched for farmers and the public. Through this mobile application, users will be able to perform livestock identification, request veterinary services, receive guidance on artificial insemination, feeding, and pasture management, submit applications for subsidies, and utilize artificial intelligence-driven insights.
These initiatives are aimed at digitizing the livestock industry, streamlining services for farmers, and ensuring the sustainable development of the sector. These efforts are fully aligned with the core objectives of the “Financing the Sustainable Development of the Livestock Sector” project, which is being implemented with the financial support of the French Development Agency (AFD).
