Bukhara has long been known as one of the regions with a rich agricultural heritage and a well-developed livestock farming culture. Today, further increasing the potential of the livestock sector and raising its efficiency to meet modern standards remains of great importance. In this regard, ensuring access to advanced knowledge and modern skills for industry specialists, as well as systematically improving their qualifications, is a pressing issue.
With this aim, within the framework of the “Financing Sustainable Livestock Development” project implemented with the participation of the Livestock and Pasture Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (AFD), a three-day intensive training and practical course is being conducted in Bukhara Region for livestock farm specialists and entrepreneurs. These seminars, held from June 4 to June 6 this year, are aimed at introducing international standards into the sector and enhancing the professional skills of local producers.
Comprehensive geographic coverage of the program
It should be noted that these systematic training courses are a continuation of successfully conducted programs in Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Namangan, Fergana, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and recently Navoi regions, and now cover representatives of the Bukhara region as well. The program aims not only to attract preferential financial instruments into the sector, but also to ensure the sustainable development of livestock farming by providing farmers and entrepreneurs with modern theoretical and practical knowledge.
Content and Practical Importance of the Training Courses
Within the framework of the program, experienced specialists, qualified professors, and researchers provide participants with detailed information on the most important aspects of livestock farming. In particular, discussions focus on scientifically based feeding of dairy and beef cattle, compliance with veterinary hygiene requirements, prevention of infectious diseases, and the use of modern technologies in milking processes. Special attention is also paid to methods of protecting animals, maintaining their health, and improving productivity, taking into account the specific climatic conditions of Bukhara Region, especially the hot weather environment.
Theoretical Knowledge Reinforced with Practical Training at Advanced Farms
After the theoretical part of the seminar, participants will visit one of the leading livestock farms in the region, where they will have the opportunity to closely observe the operation of modern technologies and equipment, exchange experience with industry specialists, and strengthen their acquired knowledge through practical application. As a result of the training, it is expected that farmers’ professional skills will be enhanced, contributing to improved efficiency and quality in local production.
