The next phase of a nationwide initiative aimed at improving knowledge and skills in the livestock sector is continuing in Kashkadarya Region. Following the successful organization of similar training courses in Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Namangan, and Fergana regions, the program officially started today in the city of Karshi. These intensive seminars, designed to further strengthen Kashkadarya’s livestock potential and improve the efficiency of local farming enterprises, are scheduled to run from May 20 to May 22, 2026.
This initiative is being implemented within the framework of the “Financing Sustainable Livestock Development” project, carried out in cooperation with the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (AFD). This partnership is creating broad opportunities for introducing international standards, modern knowledge, and advanced technologies into Uzbekistan’s livestock sector. The project’s primary objective is not only to provide financial support to entrepreneurs and farmers working in livestock farming, but also to continuously improve their professional knowledge and practical skills.
Combining theory and practice
The training program covers the most important areas of livestock farming. Participants are gaining comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge on proper livestock feeding standards and methods, animal care techniques, the use of modern veterinary services, milking hygiene, and providing first aid to animals.
Commenting on the importance of the training, one participant said:
“One of the biggest challenges in our work has always been the lack of sufficient modern knowledge in livestock farming. We came here specifically to overcome this obstacle and enrich our understanding. I am confident that the knowledge we gain here will be extremely useful in the future and will help increase productivity on our farms.”
Experience of leading industry experts
The seminars are being conducted by experienced specialists and professors in the fields of livestock farming and veterinary science. In particular, Professors U. Soatov and Sh. Abdurasulov, along with senior researchers and Doctors of Science B. Allashov, J. Isaev, and A. Amirov, are sharing their extensive expertise and practical experience with the participants. Under their guidance, the sessions are serving not only as a valuable source of knowledge for farmers, but also as a practical platform for discussing current industry challenges and identifying effective solutions.
Practical training — the key to success
The final and most important stage of the training courses will take place on May 22. On this day, practical sessions will be organized at one of the region’s leading livestock farms. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-life conditions, learn modern livestock management techniques in practice, and exchange professional experience with one another.
