Systemic training courses related to the livestock sector continue in Surkhandarya

The systemic initiative aimed at elevating the livestock sector in our country to a new milestone and strengthening the professional skills of industry experts has reached its next destination. Following successful experiences in Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Namangan, Fergana, and Kashkadarya regions, the regional center, the city of Termez, is now hosting the next series of intensive training courses. Specifically organized for farmers and entrepreneurs from all districts of the Surkhandarya region, these sessions, scheduled for May 23, 25, and 26, 2026, are designed to facilitate the consistent implementation of advanced practices in this field.

This project is being implemented within the framework of the “Sustainable development financing in the livestock sector” program, with the participation of the Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (AFD). The program aims not only to provide financial support and grants but also to continuously enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of industry representatives.

As part of the three-day educational curriculum, participants are gaining insights into the most pressing issues in livestock management and veterinary medicine. Led by qualified professors, instructors, and researchers, the training sessions cover essential topics such as proper livestock feeding, veterinary hygiene, disease prevention, and modern milking technologies. The lectures extend beyond theoretical concepts, focusing heavily on practical methods to increase livestock productivity under southern climatic conditions.

The final phase of the training days is traditionally conducted in a practical format, featuring a scheduled visit to one of the region’s leading livestock farms. Here, farmers will have the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge in a real-world workflow, familiarize themselves with the operational mechanics of modern technologies, and engage in a mutual exchange of experience.
