On July 2, 2026, Nukus hosted a regional practical seminar under the “Financing Sustainable Livestock Development” project. The event was organized with the support of the Livestock and Pasture Development Agency and the French Development Agency (AFD), with the active participation of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), the Farmers’ Council, and representatives of partner banks.

The primary objective of the seminar was to raise awareness among livestock farmers in Karakalpakstan regarding available financing opportunities and access to concessional loans. During the workshop, participants developed practical skills in preparing grant and loan applications, while also establishing direct, mutually beneficial contacts with representatives of commercial banks and relevant industry organizations.

The seminar program featured a series of interactive and practical sessions. During the first segment, experts introduced participants to available financial instruments and borrower requirements, while also presenting a detailed analysis of common mistakes made during the application process. Additionally, farmers who had previously secured funding under the project to develop their farms shared their firsthand experience, highlighting the achieved results and the tangible economic efficiency of their implemented initiatives.

A key component of the event was the practical session, during which participants worked alongside specialists to develop project concepts, draft business application structures, and perform preliminary financial calculations. The developed project proposals were then presented to representatives of partner banks for expert evaluation, who provided valuable recommendations for their further refinement.

In closing, the organizers outlined the next steps in the application process and provided the necessary contact details for further interaction.
